On December 7th, coinciding with International Civil Aviation Day, the 2023 Chairmen's Meeting of the Five Major Airports in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was held in Zhuhai. Representatives from the five major airports in Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Macao, and Zhuhai gathered together to deliver speeches and sign a memorandum of cooperation.
The conference revealed that in the first three quarters of 2023, the passenger throughput of airports in the Greater Bay Area doubled compared to the same period last year, indicating a strong recovery in the aviation transportation market. At the same time, a number of airport expansion and construction projects, including Zhuhai Airport, are in rapid progress, creating a prospering future for the high-quality development of civil aviation in the Greater Bay Area.
Since the beginning of this year, Zhuhai Airport has experienced a significant recovery. As of November 17th, the passenger throughput of Zhuhai Airport has once again exceeded 10 million.
In the future, the five major airports will continue to deepen cooperation in the aviation industry and enhance the competitiveness and international influence of the world-class airport cluster in the Greater Bay Area.
